TinyRadars Cow House Video Series: Emperor X

Emperor X, aka Chad Matheny, came by the Cow House on his tour with the wonderful and lovely Saintseneca (their vids coming soon!) back in early November. We drank cider and ate vegan food and invited our friends and neighbors over to listen to a couple of songs. Chad opted to use the old nylon string that used to belong to Seth's Mom and also got some use out of the piano.
Chad commands a room (and, well, a public park and a sidewalk and a tunnel under Glendale Blvd) and it was really amazing to get to hear this new rendition of "Compressor Repair" as well as the rarity "Go Captain and Pin Lighter." Emperor X is gearing up to release a live record (Fourteen Live Recordings) in 2013 on Plan-It-X Records which is guaranteed to be treasure. Few performers can do what Chad does so effortlessly -- transform a song into something unique and special every time its played live.
